Private William Nelson Bell served with the 1st (Canadian) Parachute Regiment and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June 1944.Pte Bell died on 27 August, aged 22 years old. He is now buried at Bayeux War Cemetery, Normandy.
