Sapper Leslie Garner served with 286 (Airborne) Field Park Company RE and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June 1944.Spr Garner died on 2 September, aged 22 years old. He is now buried at Bayeux War Cemetery, Normandy.
