Alfred 'Alf' J Jenkins joined The General service Corps, RA 19 December 1945. 

He was then posted to 96 Battery RA, 33 Airborne Light Regiment RA.

Alf served in Palestine, where he was awarded the GSM with Palestine clasp. Then served in Cyprus and Egypt in 1951. Alf was also posted to serve with the BAOR.
