Private William John Farley served with the 12th Battalion The Devonshire Regiment, and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June 1944.Pte Farley died on 7 June 1944, aged 32 years old. He is now buried at Ranville Churchyard, near the War Cemetery, in Normandy.
