Raymond Banner was born in Leicester 1940. He educated at Wiggeston College, and went on to become a haulage contractor. Raymond lived for some time with family in Australia.

Military service, TAVR only, sometime in Royal Signals, then transfered to 16 Ind.Lincoln Coy (V)

Transferred to the company in 1967, two week signals course at Warminster and served till 1973, then he emigrated to Australia.
