William Bradburn enlisted into The Royal Corps of Signals in February 1939.Cpl Bradburn transferred from 7th Air Formation Signals into The Gilder Pilot Regiment in March 1944.
He took part in Operation Market Garden with D Squadron and managed to safely return across the Rhine. Sgt Bradburn also took part in Operation Varsity.
Staff Sgt Bradburn was demobbed in March 1946.
