Lance Corporal Arthur Armes served with the 12th (Airborne) Battalion The Devonshire Regiment and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June 1944.L/Cpl Armes died on 17 August 1944, aged 18 years old. He is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Normandy.
