Sergeant George Howe Burridge, son of Augustus William George and Lydia May Burridge, served with E Squadron, 2nd Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.Sergeant Burridge died on 25 September 1944, aged 25 years old, and was initially given a field burial behind the Weverstraat school. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
