Nick Brown joined Junior Para Company as a member of 36 Platoon 1978.After passing P Coy and parachute training with 458 Platoon in 1979, he was posted to 4 Platoon, B Coy, 3 PARA stationed in Osnabruck, West Germany 1980.
In 1981 L/Cpl Brown joined Patrol Coy, 3 PARA. He was discharged in 1986, having served in Germany, Northern Ireland, Canada, the Falkland Islands, France, Cyprus, Brunei and Belize,
