Airborne Assault MuseumCommandant W P "Willie" Louw was the founding Commanding Officer of South Africa's first airborne unit, the 1st Parachute Battalion, from 1961 to 1965.He qualified as a parachutist at RAF Ringway in November 1960 along with the other founding members.
