Sapper Louis Frank Shelley, son of William and Florence Annie Shelley, of Woodlands, Doncaster, Yorkshire, served with 9 (Airborne) Field Company, Royal Engineers. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.Sapper Shelley died in the Battle between 25-26 September 1944, aged 30 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
