Michael Leonard Kingston joined The Parachute Regiment in 1964, with Training Platoon 284 at Maida Barracks, Aldershot.Private Kingston was posted to C Company, 8 Platoon, 1st Battalion The Parachute Regiment, and served in Aden and Radfan.

After returning to the UK, Private Kingston joined Support Company, serving in Aden and Belfast where he served as Arms Storeman.

Private Kingston was also a member of the Battalion Football team.
