Sapper Elfed George was the son of Llewellyn and Elizabeth George, and husband of Catherine Hilda George, of Slough, Buckinghamshire. He served with 2nd Parachute Squadron, Royal Engineers and took part in the Italian campaign.He died on 25 January 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Sangro River War Cemetery, Italy.
