Lance Corporal James Ayers served with 2nd Parachute Battalion and took part in the North African campaign as part of 1st Army, during Op Torch.Lance Corporal Ayers died on 5 April 1943, aged 20 years old. He is now buried at Tabarka Ras Rajel War Cemetery, Tunisia.
