George Wallace was the son of James and Isabella Wallace, of Aberdeen.Driver Wallace served with the Royal Engineers, attached to HQ 6th Airborne Division in Palestine.

He was killed on 24 March 1947 and is now buried in Khayat Beach War Cemetery, Israel.
