Private Geoffrey George Farmer was raised at Bassett, Southampton and was the older brother of Pte Roy Farmer of 13th (Lancs) Parachute Battalion who was posted missing on D-Day.Geoffrey Farmer served with 133 Parachute Field Ambulance (RAMC), L Section of 4th Parachute Brigade, 1st Airborne Division. He was at Arnhem (Op Market Garden) and was wounded in action, subsequently taken prisoner and held as a POW at Camp 11B, 97178.
