Frank Leonard Hammond was the son of Alfred L. Hammond and Alice E. Hammond, of Stoke Newington, London.Driver Hammond served with 398 Airborne Composite Company, Royal Army Service Corps in Palestine.

Dvr Hammond died on 17 March 1946 and is now buried in Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel.
