Private Jack Maurice Banks served with 13th (South Lancs) Parachute Battalion and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy, during Op Overlord.Private Banks died on 10 June 1944, aged 22 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial near Bayeux War Cemetery, Normandy.
