Private John Binns, son of William H and Margaret Alice Binns, of Harrogate, Yorkshire, served with 6th (Royal Welch) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the invasion of Italy in Autumn 1943.Private Binns died at sea on 10 September 1943, aged 20 years old. He is now buried at Bari War Cemetery, Italy.
