Pte J O’Donnell successfully completed his parachute training at Ringway on the 15 June 1944. It was noted that Pte O’Donnell was a “keen, above average standard” jumper.
He was posted to the Airborne forces holding unit before being transferred to 9th Battalion to serve in Palestine.
He died on 10 March 1947 and is now buried in Khayat Beach War Cemetery, Israel.
