Bombardier Alfred John Lane served with the 4th Air landing Anti-tank Battery, RA and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June 1944.Bdr Lane died on 6 June, aged 30 years old. He is now buried at Brucourt Churchyard Cemetery, Normandy.
