Private John Todd was born in 1925 to John and Elizabeth Todd of Eddlewood, Lanarkshire, Scotland.Private Todd volunteered for The Parachute Regiment and served with the 5th (Scottish) Battalion. He took part in the Italian Campaign.

He died on 3 May 1944, aged 19. He is now buried at Cassino War Cemetery, Italy.
