Corporal Ernest Patrick Lyons was the son of Michael and Elsie Lyons, and husband of Lilian Lyons, of Rochdale. He served with 13th (South Lancs) Parachute Battalion (formerly 2/4th Battalion, South Lancashire Regiment).Corporal Lyons was wounded died in the UK on 3 March 1945. He is now buried at Rochdale Cemetery, Lancashire.
