Private Douglas Fraser was the son of Walter and Annie Fraser, and the husband of Margaret King Fraser. He served with 2nd Parachute Battalion and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.Private Fraser died on 20 September 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
