Kenneth Frank Alsford Fox was the son of Frank Herbert and Elizabeth Fox of Romford.

He transferred from The Royal Irish Fusiliers to The 7th Parachute Battalion. He successfully passed parachute jump instruction at RAF Ringway on Course 77. This course ran between 9 and 18 august 1943. His instructor noted that Pte. Fox was "Average performer-reliable and steady". Lt. John Grayburn who was awarded posthumous Victoria Cross for his actions during at the battle for Arnhem Bridge was also jump trained on this course

Kenneth took part in operations in Normandy and sadly died of wounds in a hospital in Bath on 28 August 1944, aged just 19. He is death is commemorated at SS. Peter and Paul Churchyard in Dagenham, Essex.
