John Michael Joseph Weaver was the son of John and Violet Weaver, of Chorley, Lancashire. He served with HQ A Troop, 1st Airborne Recce Squadron, Reconnaissance Corps. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Trooper Weaver died on 19 September 1944, aged 19 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
