Private George Mark William Drake, son of George Arthur and Alice Drake, of Portsmouth, served 156 Battalion, the Parachute Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.He died on 18 September 1944 (Second Drop), aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
