Private Frederick Norman Cyster served with C Company, 12 Para Bn and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June 1944.Pte Cyster died on 7 June 1944, killed by enemy shelling. He was 29 years old. He is now buried at Ranville Churchyard, near the War Cemetery, in Normandy.
