Sapper James Benson, son of Alfred John and Mary Benson, of Henleaze, Bristol served with 3rd Parachute Squadron, Royal Engineers. He took part in the Normandy campaign.Sapper Benson died on 10 August 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Normandy.
