Private Levi Brierley, son of Frank and Elizabeth Ann Brierley, of Oldham, Lancashire, served with 5th (Scottish) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the drops to Southern France, during Op Dragoon.Private Brierley died on 17 August 1944, aged 22 years old. He is now buried at Mazargues War Cemetery, Marseilles.
