Corporal John Doran Newton served with 12th (Yorks) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Rhine Crossing, during Op Varsity.Corporal Newton died on 24 March 1945, aged 29 years old. He is now buried at Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Kleve, Germany.
