Corporal Frederick Barnett, husband of Ella Dora Barnett, of Coton, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, served as a Section Commander in 8 Platoon, C Company, 2nd Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Corporal Barnett died on 22 September 1944, aged 27 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
