Private Eric Bamber, son of Arthur and Maria Bamber, of Peasley Cross, St Helens, Lancashire, served with 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Rhine Crossing, during Op Varsity.Private Bamber died on 24 March 1945, aged 19 years old. He is now buried at Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Kleve, Germany.
