Private Edward Norwood Allison, son of Edward and Ethel Jane Allison, of Annfield Plain, Co Durham, served with 10th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.He died on 22 September 1944, aged 25 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
