Lee Taylor was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in 4th Battalion (V), The Parachute Regiment in January 1993 after serving as an officer cadet.He served with the battalion for over five years and rose to the rank of Captain.

Lee was promoted to Major shortly after transferring to the Royal Artillery in 1998 and retired from the TA on 1 February 2010.
