OBITUARY - PRIVATE NORMAN MACRURY

Private Norman MacRury joined 2 PARA during the Belize Tour in November 1987. It took a little time for him to settle in due to his naturally quiet and reserved character but as the Company got to know him so he became liked and respected making many firm friends within 1 Platoon. Private MacRury matured into a thoroughly responsible and very fit soldier who showed the potential to become an NCO in the near future. It is this realisation that such potential is now wasted that makes Private MacRury's death as the result of a car accident on 1 May 1989 during Ex MINIBUS the more tragic. Our deepest sympathy is extended to his parents, brother, sister and friends on their sad loss.
