Airborne Assault MuseumIan Slimon served with the 1st Bn Scots Guards (BAOR) and then with the Guards Para Company on a 3 year tour.He returned to the Scots Guards (undertaking signals work, training and public duties) until he had completed 6 years service. In his own words he was an "Enthusiastic but not gifted athlete and soldier!".
