David Churchill served mainly with 2 PARA apart from a posting back to Depot at Maida Barracks as a corporal.During his last 3 years he was Acting Platoon Commander of No 1 Plt, A Coy, 2 PARA, except for the odd few weeks when the Regiment found a spare Lt! He commanded the platoon in Northern Ireland in 1970.
