Stuart Cairns attended All Arms P Coy Nov 1973. In June 1974 he started his parachute jump training. After sustaining an injury on his first course, went on to successfully complete his parachute training on 12 July 1974.

Served with 63 Para Sqn RCT 1Para Log Regt.

Attached to Para Sqn RAC for Op Banner Tour in 1975.
