Lieutenant Talbert Alexander Mollison, son of C D and Betty Mollison, of Edinburgh, served with 4th Parachute Battalion and took part in the Italian operation and was the Military Cross for his actions in January 1944.

Lieutenant Mollison died barely a week later on 22 January 1944, aged 29 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Cassino War Cemetery, Italy.
