Airborne Assault MuseumPte Glynn John Hampson served with 1st Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, and was killed in a car accident while on an exchange visit with the 101st Airborne Division.
He was married to Kathy, and had a daughter, Kelly.
Pte "Smokey" Hampson died on 7 April 1979 in Tennessee, USA, aged 22 years and is now buried in Aldershot Military Cemetery, Hampshire.
