I left Elliott Comprehensive School in 1959 and joined REME in 1961. After trade training I joined Light Aid Detachment B Sqn, 1st The Queens Dragoon Guards.I later joined 562 Para Sqn RCT Southall and then served with 16 Independent Coy Lincoln, emigrating to Australia in 1977.
