Extract from the Pegasus Journal dated October 1953: OBITUARY: PRIVATE F. JENKINS, 2nd BN. THE PARACHUTE REGIMENT

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Pte. Jenkins, who died as a result of a shooting accident on 12th July, 1953.

Pte. Jenkins joined the Battalion on 15th September, 1952, and was in the M.T. Platoon.

He was the Commanding Officer's Land Rover driver and at the time was on detachment when the Battalion was doing Ismailia duties.

His loss has been a sad blow to the Battalion and we offer our heartfelt sympathy to his family in their bereavement.

Pte Jenkins died aged 19 years and is now buried in Moascar Military Cemetery, Egypt.
