Robert Holtom enlisted into the Parachute Regiment in 1966.He served as a Junior Infantryman with Junior Parachute Company (Coy) until completing P Coy in 1968.
Private Holtom was then posted to the 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment (3 PARA). He served in Malta, Cpyrus and Northern Ireland before leaving in 1971.
