Private Thomas Howard, son of Robert and Margaretta Howard, of Holmfirth, Yorkshire, served with 12th (Yorks) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy, during Op Overlord.Private Howard died on 6 June 1944, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Herouvillette New Communal Cemetery, Herouvillette, near Caen, Normandy.
