Thomas Anthony Grieve enlisted into the Royal Norfolk Regiment, and then volunteered for the airborne forces.Corporal Grieve attended parachute course 10 at RAF Ringway from 16 to 27 March 1942 and was posted to the 3rd Battalion, the Parachute Regiment and took part in Operation Torch in North Africa.

Cpl Grieve was Killed in Action on 11 March 1943 age 29. He is commemorated on the Medjez-El-Bab memorial.
