Orlando Morris Ellefson was the son of Herman and Alice Ellefson, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, he enlisted on 3 January 1942 and arrived in UK on 24 July 1943 and took part in Operation Overlord (Normandy).
Private Ellefson of 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion, Royal Canadian Infantry Corps, was killed in action on 6 June 1944, aged 22, and was given a field burial at Douville and was re-interred to Ranville War Cemetery, Calvados, France, on 5 September 1945.
