Airborne Assault MuseumSgt Fred Stratton served as a Parachute Jump Instructor at RAF Ringway during World War II, and later moved with the Parachute Training School to Upper Heyford.After leaving the RAF, Fred stayed in the Upper Heyford area and established a canteen business which supplied the base.
Fred died in 1981.
