Cyril Arthur Douglas Dollin the son of Charles Henry and Ethel Isabel Dollin, of Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, enlisted in the Welch Regiment and later volunteered for airborne forces.Lance Corporal Dollin attended parachute course 20 at Ringway from 27 July to 3 August 1942. He was then posted to S Company 7 Platoon, the 1st Battalion the Parachute Regiment and took part in Operation Torch in North Africa.
L/Cpl Dollin was Killed in Action on 8 March 1943. He was originally buried in in Tamara Military Cemetery and re-interred on 13 June 1944 to Medjez-El-Bab War Cemetery.
