Corporal Arthur Butler was the son of Arthur and Catherine Butler, of Leeds, Yorkshire, and the husband of Doris Butler, of Leeds. He served with 5th (Scottish) Parachute Battalion and took part in the Greek campaign, during Op Manna in Winter 1944-5.Corporal Butler died on 18 December 1944, aged 30 years old. He is now buried at Phaleron War Cemetery, Greece.
